Travis is SEVEN!

Travis's birthday was on a Sunday this year. So we decided to give him his gifts on Saturday, so he'd have the whole weekend to enjoy them. We were all in a celebratory mood since Johnny had graduated the night before. Whoohoo!!

Here's the birthday boy with all of his gifts, and three of his sisters. Bryn was taking a nap. The wrapped gifts that look like toilet paper, are. ;) When we went shopping for his gifts, Johnny took the kids to another part of the store and I shopped. I called Johnny to get his opinion and instead of talking about the gift, he said "toilet paper". Travis freaked out thinking he was getting toilet paper. For days he asked, "Am I really getting toilet paper?" We said, yes. SO, we kept our word and he got 6 rolls of wrapped toilet paper. If we'd really been thinking, we would have wrapped 7, since it's his 7th birthday. Hmmm... Don't worry, it wasn't just toilet paper, Johnny stuffed the centers with fishing lures. :)

Two of his gifts were City sets from Hot Wheels. He already had a lot of cars.
It was fun setting it up and his sisters and Johnny wanted to play too.

Everyone had fun with the Hot Wheels City set!

The graduate at the pre-birthday party. (If you look closely, we were watching The Little Rascals. Love that movie! "Dear Darla, I hate your stinkin' guts. You make me vomit. You are the scuuum between my toes. Love, Alfalfa.")

Travis is officially 7 and ready for church. So handsome :)

Katherine on Travis's birthday, also ready for church.

Isn't he a doll!?

Olivia, Ella and Travis

Bryn's ready for church.

Travis's requested homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie cake.
I made it with his Uncle Darin's recipe- perfect in every way!

He got the Pixar figures from Santa Claus last year and wanted to put them on the cake.
I think it turned out adorable!

He can't wait to dig in!

Travis got a basketball and net for his birthday from his Primary teacher. What a great gift!

The game of the moving net. Olivia was the cheerleader and the net.
She cheered Travis on the whole time! Such a sweetheart!

Elder Hagge held the net and Travis took advantage. So athletic!

Olivia in motion.
She made a basket! (and Elder Hagge didn't cheat!)

He's SO excited.

C'mon Travis, give your mama some sugar!
He's already acting 7. ;)

Fine then. Just smile.

Make a silly face!

Ella and Bryn slept through the party.
Sleeping just knocks them out! (what movie?)

Bryn woke up a little grumpy :(
She liked the cookie cake though :)

For his presents, he got a Planet Earth Children's Encyclopedia (hardback, great pictures!), the Hot Wheels sets, lots of fishing lures, $10 and a card from Johnny's parents, $10 and a card from my parents, and a handheld game 20 Questions. Travis loved his gifts and the cake. It was a great birthday! With his cash, he bought 2 Lego Star Wars sets. He's living up to his name. His Uncle Travis would be proud :)
