I can't believe how much time has passed since I last posted! I have to look at my bank register to know what it is I've been doing with my time. LOL
So this isn't an official post- because I don't have my pictures ready... But if I DID, here's what I would tell you about...
Bryn is 9 months old and has 5 teeth!!! How many did she have last time I wrote about her? I think only one. She got her two bottom front teeth first, pretty much at the same time. Then she got her top left front (looking at her), then her top right front and then the tooth next to the top left. (Sarah, don't let Darin critique my description! haha I could've called and asked him the official terminology, but I didn't think it would make a difference. lol)
Travis has 2 loose teeth, he just lost his first one yesterday! He's sooo excited. Katherine lost most of her teeth in kindergarten. Travis starts 1st grade next Monday. And Katherine will be starting 2nd! They're excited to wear new school clothes, but nervous about going back.
Our favorite landlords came for about a week and a half, they loved the improvements we've made and approved of more! We're so excited about it all. They have two Haflinger horses, named Jack and Jim, that will be moving onto our property here. Johnny and his brother Michael built a fence with two gates and Joanne (our landlord) had a barn built. The horses will be here tomorrow. Our kids are ecstatic!
Other than the new fence and the horses coming, we've put a new floor in our kitchen- Joanne brought some nice wood laminate flooring for us to use. She got us a new backdoor that CLOSES all the way. We love it! It has a window too, which is nice since most people use our backdoor. AND the most exciting of all: a new bedroom and bathroom!!!:) We have a room off our dining room that is unfinished, so we're turning it into a master bedroom with 3/4 bath. My dad came today to work on it this week with Johnny. We hope to get most of it done this week. It's going to be a lot of work: level wood subfloor, raise ceiling, add 2 x 4s to make 16" centers on two walls, rewire electrical, add 2 windows, frame out closet and bathroom, install shower/plumbing, insulate, sheetrock (tape/float/texture/paint), beadboard (stain/paint), doors, laminate flooring/tile, trim, add window unit/baseboard heat. I think that pretty much covers it. I might have missed something, but you get the idea. I'll post LOTS of pics soon.
We're so glad to have my dad staying with us! It's so nice to have family nearby.
How fun! I'm so glad Daddy is going to help y'all. That's wonderful! I can't wait to see the improvements next time we come to visit. By the way, I sure missed seeing updates on your blog! Glad you are back!
ReplyDeleteWow. That's exciting... that house sounds fabulous. Only one question... what's a 3/4 bath? I'm so confused.
ReplyDeleteI heard that you guys aren't in our stake anymore! Wow. I can't believe it. How do you guys feel about it?
