Katherine and Travis started school on Monday, August 25. Katherine's 2nd grade teacher is Mrs. Smith, the same teacher she had in kindergarten, and we love her! Travis's 1st grade teacher is Ms. Smith, Katherine's 1st grade teacher, and we love her too!
Here they are on their 1st day of school:
After we dropped them off, the rest of the family took off to Carthage (about an hour and 15 min north) to get Johnny ready for school. We bought his books and filled out his application for clinicals in Shreveport this semester. He started his 3rd semester of nursing school today! We're so excited because he only has 2 semesters left before he'll be an RN! He's studying Maternal/Newborn and Complex Concepts of Adult Health. He's also taking Healthcare Spanish- if it doesn't interfere with any clinical rotations. Pretty big load, huh?
For Family Home Evening, we had a lesson on Faith and for our activity, we spent time with Jack & Jim. The kids loved it, Johnny gave them each a bath because they've had major fly problems.

Isn't Bryn adorable!?!!The kids are feeding them carrots...
We love having the horses!
On our way inside, after we fed the horses carrots, I saw a baby milk snake in the grass! Katherine thought it was so cute, she wanted to keep it! Say it with me, ewwww!
Crazy kids!
I love the update, we've been waiting to see the horses! They look so cute and fun. Perfect size for kids. Are the kids able to ride them? It sounds like they are going to have a great year at school, they are such cuties!
