Before I forget forever... Several weeks ago- April 23rd actually, I wrote this HILARIous story down:
Johnny was not home from school yet, so I made a quick supper and the kids were sitting at the table eating. Just after they said the blessing on the food, I sat down in the living room with Bryn to feed her a bottle. I was watching the news and this is the conversation that followed:
Travis: Mom, who is that again?
Me: Hillary Clinton.
Travis: Does she lie a lot? (How did he know to ask this? I honestly was shocked!)
Me: Yes.
Travis: Man! And she's a grownup. She's supposed to know better.
THEN...
Katherine: Mom, do you have the government's address?
Me: No- I don't know the zip code.
Katherine: Do you have their email?
Me: No, but I could look it up online.
Katherine: Okay, because I need you to email them and tell them she lies.
Me: Oh, they already know... they do it too.
I'm still rolling on the floor laughing!!! My cute kids! And I had to break the news to them. So sad!
cute kids is right!
ReplyDeletelove the party and bryn is growing so fast!
How hilarious! It's true... kids pick up on more than we think sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHILARIOUS!!! Kids are so insightful. They know way more than we give them credit for.
ReplyDeleteThat was laugh-out-loud funny! I'm glad you wrote it down, it would've been a shame to forget such a funny story. I could totally picture Katherine saying that with a serious face..."I need to email them and tell them she lies"...haha!
ReplyDeleteJill, that is hilarious. I'm going to tell my mom that story--she would LOVE it! You're so good at writing things down
