OCD's kickin'

I am a list maker. And on my list of things to do is to blog. Not just blog blog, but to blog the things that have happened over the last little bit that I haven't blogged. So, I'm almost done with my catch up blogging...

Johnny makes time about once a month or so to spend one-on-one with the kids, especially the older two. Last month Travis wanted his Father-Son Day activity to be making homemade fishing lures. So, Johnny cut down a cherry tree at his parent's house and they spent the morning making his fishing lure.

Some inspiration...

imagination...

and perspiration...

becomes an obsession!

(Blog Father-Son Day - check!)

With so many projects and so much "regular" stuff to do, my list keeps growing as I sit here typing... what to do? what to do? But you know there's something therapeutic about blogging. Somehow sharing your thoughts and day-to-day rigors of life with the world makes you feel like you've accomplished something. Yes, there are 6 loads of laundry screaming your name, but you want to please the people, so you type. Some days my OCD is nonexistent. This week, it is fairly serious. I am sitting here, catching up on my blog, with no makeup, bad hair (clean hair, but bad hair) staring at empty bottles of water and the kids' leftover sandwiches from lunch. Eventually I will catch up to that too. I feel like I need a solid week by myself to catch up- it's terrible! I want so much to have these projects finished and just leisurely fold a load of laundry a day. Am I pathetic??? Oh well. Some days without makeup, I am more productive than ever! Some days I don't get started til halfway through and still go to bed satisfied with my effort. Today will be that day. When Johnny comes home tonight from clinicals and asks what I did today I won't have to say, "I couldn't do anything with the house because I had to blog! But at least I got that done." LOL (Not that he'd care...) Off I go to start another load of laundry and clean up the kitchen, wish me luck!
