Party of the year!

Since Johnny's graduation was such a big deal, we planned a big party! But before we could play, we had to work. There were so many projects we needed to finish. I regret not taking many pictures. Here's a few of the things we had to do:

1. Clean out garage. (It was full of tools and junk leftover from the remodel. We were able to clean it out and actually use the garage for what it was intended to be used for. Parking our cars. So nice!)

2. Finish trim work in bathroom.

3. Touch-up paint our bedroom/bathroom.

4. Paint back door.

5. Mow grass.

6. Clean house.

7. COOK.

We enlisted help from our child laborers. Travis was Johnny's shadow every chance he got. He ate it up! (When I say "He", I mean Johnny. And Travis. LOL)

Check out Travis with the giant nail gun!

He did such a good job!

After we finished, it was time to party! Johnny, actually his brother Drue, cooked chicken on the pit and we had boudain, hot dogs and sausage. All the food was delicious! There were a lot of side dishes people were kind enough to bring and not many leftovers. The kids had fun in the sprinklers and slip-n-slide (Monica was so nice to bring) and the shade was nice enough for the adults! We couldn't have asked for better weather that day. The high was 84, on JUNE 6th! Perfect weather.

Okay, so you met just about everyone. Here are a few more pics just for kicks :)

I missed getting a pic of Lia (niece)- she's near the middle of the pic in front of Travis.

I also missed a pic of Meigha (niece)- she's the one on the right with her arms folded, patiently waiting her turn :)

Hyrum and Jake (both nephews)

These are the treats I made and the cake Marianne made for the special occasion:

Aren't they adorable! I got the idea from one of my favorite bakers: Bakerella! She is a genious!

I asked my sister Marianne (my other favorite bakers) to make this cake. You know it's good if Marianne made it :)

All in all, it was a great party. We partied late into the night, after everyone else left, with our friends Jon and Casey and their boys. We couldn't get enough celebrating! The next week we got together with them and went to the zoo and the lake. It was so fun! I can't wait til Johnny graduates again!
