Although I DO have other things to blog about and am TOTALLY behind, I noticed on a friend's blog that I've been tagged! (Thanks Melissa!) :) I thought this would be a quick post and something fun... so here it is:
HIGH SCHOOL TAG
1. Did you date someone from your high school?: Nope. No "Mormon" boys to date.
2. What kind of car did you drive?: LOL That's hilarious. I'm sure you'll think it's funny too. I drove a boat. Two 80s models: Oldsmobile and Lincoln. Yeah, grandma cars. Okay, go ahead... laugh it up... but I do have to say, they were the strongest built cars= no plastic bumper, etc.
3. What is your most embarrassing moment in high school? Probably the time I rammed by boat into an upperclassman's very nice red pickup truck. I was trying to park my boat in a tight spot and couldn't judge the distance over the very large hood, so I hit his fender. With my little brother's help, I eventually parked appropriately in the spot. I actually thought, maybe we don't have to tell him... but too many people saw and beat me to it. It all worked out in the end, but it was pretty embarrassing.
4. Were you a party animal? Yeah right. TGIF meant tv! I had friends at school, but we never hung out outside of school.
5.Where you considered a flirt? No. In fact they thought I was a snob because I didn't cuss or party or listen to their bad jokes, etc.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?: No. My school didn't have choir. I took art classes, and now I am kicking myself for not taking band! Now I have to teach myself to play piano :(
7. Were you a nerd? I didn't think so. The party kids probably thought I was though.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? I took athletics one year, because it was mandatory, but I asked the coach if I could NOT compete, because I am not athletic. He told me to help another girl check the role and that was ALL I did ALL year! Easy credit.
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? Never. I was too goody-goody, which I don't regret.
10. Can you still sing the fight song? All hail, the Rogers Eagles, best in the land, we're all united and something something .... to victory something something... No, I guess I don't remember it.
11. Who were your favorite teachers? The coaches. So easy and fun! No really, I liked Ms. Dohnalik (Spanish), Ms. Marsh (chemistry) and Ms. Hitt (algebra). I wasn't great at any of those subjects, but these teachers helped me learn and understand a lot! Definitely went the extra mile for me.
12. Where did you sit during lunch? I ate in the cafeteria with my friends. No special table really.
13. School Mascot? Eagles.
14. Did you go to homecoming and with who? I went to the homecoming games, but we didn't have dances and I never took a date. No one did I don't think.
15. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Maybe. I went to my reunion this year, and it was fun and I realized how I acted in high school, and I kinda was snobby. Ew. I just said that. I didn't mean to be, but I thought so much of what the other kids were doing and wasting their time with was stupid and I knew better. So, I would be less judgemental I guess.
16. What do you remember most about graduation? We didn't like our principal that much and we decided to pull a prank during the ceremony. So some kids got silly string and passed it around for us to spray. I had to walk next to Joey Wesson. I loved that I was growing up and so excited to go to BYU.
17. Where did you go senior skip day? Rogers didn't have a senior skip day. If they had, I would have stayed home.
18. Have you gained weight since then? Only when I've been pregnant. Mostly I've stayed the same.
19. Who was your prom date? I went to my Junior Prom with my biggest crush Travis Erbstoessor. My Senior prom was terrible thanks to the Juniors- they didn't have a clue how to plan or throw a prom. I went alone. Having a date wouldn't have made a difference.
20. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? I just went this past June. Don't you read my blog? I blogged all about it. Maybe you should look it up.
21. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself? Don't be so judgemental. Let people make their own decisions and eventually they'll grow up too. Just set a good example and be more outgoing.
Holli, Janell, Kinda and Theresa- consider yourselves tagged!
You're welcome! Cari tagged me so I figured I tag you. I thought this was a fun tag. Can't wait to see all the other stuff you have to blog about.
