Best Friends

Ella has a best friend. She talks about her all the time. Her name is Callie Caseytilla Cuballywho (pronounced "Cub"-"ball"-"e"-"who"). Callie Cuballywho is 6 years old and has yellow hair. She lives in Nacogdoches with her family. Her dad, Bull Shule is a police officer. Her mom's name is Kendy Chadilli. She has an older brother, Pupa Shule. She also has a baby sister, Chunkydeedee Chili (but she's not fat). They have a dog, Chuly Chuleeta. She has yellow and black and white, long hair. She looks like this:

Callie Cuballywho's (yes, you must say her first and last name every time) favorite color is green. She wears it a lot. Shortly after we learned of Callie Cuballywho's existence (who Ella says is also her cousin), Ella came into the kitchen as I was cooking supper and asked if Callie Cuballywho was here yet. I assumed that this Callie Cuballywho was just as good of a friend as Bullseye was to Travis. I responded, "Yes, she's waiting for you in the living room. She's sitting on the couch." Ella carefully and slowly walked into the living room. Once she got there and didn't see anyone, she came back and said, "She's not on the couch." Oops. This was going to be more difficult to play along with than I thought. I decided to have "Callie Cuballywho" (aka my sister Rachel) give Ella a call the next day. Ella was pretty excited and never knew it was actually Rachel. She invited Callie Cuballywho to Johnny's graduation party (and never noticed that she didn't come- lol).

She's perfectly happy updating us on what Callie's doing from time to time. Last week, as I was cooking supper, Ella was getting her shoes on. It was getting dark and Johnny wasn't home yet. When I asked Ella where she was going, she said, "To the soccer ball game! Callie Cuballywho has a soccer ball game right now!" Unfortunately, we weren't able to attend. A couple of days ago, Ella was supposed to be cleaning her room. I was folding laundry and she came to tell me that Callie Cuballywho was at the grocery store. She said Callie was buying 2 toys there, as she held up 5 fingers. ;)
